Lakes district- England

If you’ve ever been to the Lakes district in England you’ll know what Psalm 23 in the bible means. This last destination was like the cherry on top of a cupcake. It is stunningly beautiful for kilometres on end. We were blessed to have one day of sunshine and these photos are the true reflection of the scenery. The nature and colours are so bright and beautiful. It is with sadness that we say goodbye to this place and reach the end of our holiday. Just one more quick stop at Warwick castle before we fly back from London. We rented a car in Kendal and drove around the area of Windermere and Ambleside as well as Hilltop house(Beatrix Potter’s house) before settling in our accomodation with a view.

We even got a spectacular full moon to end off with! I wanted to visit Miss Beatrix Potter’s house and we were very blessed to get a parking spot and a ticket to visit immediately. That was in the afternoon on a long weekend! I think everyone else was at the lake as it was a lovely warm day. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the house and environment that features in her story books. Her life story is very inspiring. The long tailed sheep was quite a surprise to me as I have never seen this before. Almost thought it was a very large dog! : )

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths

for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk

through the darkest valley,[a]

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

forever.

    What a wonderful way to end it all… but only until you relive it all again as you tell us your stories with vivid recall and a grin from ear to ear. This can never be taken from you , how precious..
