Luzern

Sad to leave the Alps but we have to keep moving on and so we arrived in Lucerne, a beautiful train ride from Lauterbrunnen.

The colour of the lakes on the way there are just incredible.

And now I’m in heaven again with this stunning natural pool at our Lucerne Airbnb. If you know me well you will know that I have wanted one for a long time. I’m allergic to chlorine and immediately get a rash all over my body. I love swimming but can only swim in the sea. How beautiful is this!

Every city we explore has it’s own charm and we always come home sore- footed. Lucerne’s old town is lovely. The lake and river with the Mount Pilatus in the back- ground makes for a beautiful picture. We took the old city self-guided walk that is suggested in the tourist brochure.

The Chapel bridge is one of the iconic sights of Lucerne as well as the Lowendenkmal Lion sculpture. This sculpture moved me very much and is described by Mark Twain as one of the saddest and most moving piece of rock in the world. It is a memorial to all the Swiss soldiers who died while trying to protect the Tulleries palace in 1792 during the French revolution

The men once again saw a lot of nice cars like Porche and Maserati driving past and also this rare Wiesmann.
