Munich: Marienplatz and more

Munich is described as one of the most livable cities in the world. We enjoyed walking in the city, the old town is beautiful with all the historical buildings. There are just crowds of people! If you go there make the effort to read Rick Steves’ information on Munich, it is very interesting.

Good dog, bad dog, on one of the buildings in the Marienplatz.

The men were super blown away by all the amazing super cars they saw in the street where all the high end shops are.

We had to do the Hofbrau house thing, but waited very long to get our food. The music was a good experience for the kids and Ernest enjoyed the beer. They serve thousands of litres of beer a day!

We went to a free organ and trumpet concert in one of the smaller churches and loved it. One of the most amazing buildings in Munich is The Residence. It was the former palace for the Wittelbach Monarchs of Bavaria. It was also free for both kids! Yeah

When we went home after our long day of sight seeing there was DRAMA in the Underground- a dog got into the tunnels and unto the tracks. About 5 or more security officers were running up and down trying to catch it and the trains were delayed for about 15 min. That was an exiting end to Munich.
